About the Opportunity

TalentAxis is currently recruiting on behalf of a growing disability services provider seeking compassionate and reliable Disability Support Workers for ongoing casual opportunities in Kingswood NSW.

This role involves supporting participants with daily living activities, community access, personal care, and promoting independence and wellbeing.

This position offers long shifts, sleepover shifts, ongoing casual work, and above-award pay rates for candidates with strong availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support participants with activities of daily living
  • Assist with personal care and hygiene where required
  • Provide community access and transport support
  • Support participants to attend appointments and social activities
  • Promote independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion
  • Build positive relationships with participants and their support networks
  • Complete shift notes and required documentation
  • Follow participant support plans and organisational policies
  • Maintain a safe and professional working environment
  • Participate in sleepover and extended shifts when required

Essential Requirements

  • Current National Police Check
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current Australian Driver Licence
  • Reliable vehicle
  • Comprehensive vehicle insurance
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible availability including weekdays, weekends, long shifts and sleepovers
  • Genuine passion for supporting people living with disability

Desirable

  • Previous Disability Support Worker experience
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Experience supporting participants with complex needs
  • Medication administration experience
  • Behaviour support experience
