About the Opportunity

TalentAxis is recruiting one to two experienced and reliable Disability Support Workers for an immediate-start casual opportunity in Minto. The successful worker or workers will be directly employed by the hiring disability-services provider. The provider’s identity will be disclosed only to shortlisted candidates during the referral process.

Weekday, weekend, night-shift and sleepover availability is required. Approximately 30 or more hours per week may be available depending on participant needs, roster requirements, suitability and ongoing performance. Hours are not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide respectful, person-centred support in accordance with the participant’s support plan.
  • Assist with daily living activities, personal care and community access as required.
  • Support participant choice, independence, dignity and wellbeing.
  • Provide safe transport and community participation support where rostered.
  • Complete accurate shift notes, incident reporting and other required documentation.
  • Follow organisational policies, safeguarding requirements and lawful directions.
  • Work weekday, weekend, night and sleepover shifts as rostered.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous disability-support experience and the ability to work independently.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Current Australian driver licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Valid Australian work rights.
  • Reliable availability across weekdays, weekends, nights and sleepovers.
  • Professional communication, sound judgement and dependable documentation practices.
